USING DIGIBYTES
Terms of use
These terms describe the intended use and practical limits of the DigiBytes desktop app and its optional Google Sheets integration.
Effective and last updated: 23 October 2026
1. The application
DigiBytes helps you manage digital-product records, stock, prices, sales, expenses, manually entered balances, and reports. Use it only for data and accounts you are authorized to manage. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and the permissions you have to store or share it.
2. Local records and backups
The desktop app stores records on your device. Maintain backups appropriate to your needs. Importing or editing records, deleting local files, replacing a database, or sharing exports can affect your data. Review previews and financial amounts before confirming operations.
The current app uses a local workspace per operating-system user. Connecting another Google account does not automatically create a separate local business workspace. Do not use account switching to separate different people's store data on the same operating-system login.
3. Google Sheets integration
Connecting Google and enabling sync are optional. You approve access in Google's browser-based consent flow. The app publishes a mirror of your local report into a spreadsheet in the selected Google account. Subsequent syncs overwrite the app-managed report tabs; changes made in Sheets are not imported. Review the account and sharing settings before syncing.
You may disconnect in DigiBytes or revoke access through Google. Google API availability, account restrictions, authorization expiry, and Google policies can affect this feature. Google account and service use is also subject to Google's own terms. See the privacy policy for the information transferred.
4. Financial records and exchange estimates
Platform and CCP balances are entered manually; DigiBytes does not move money, place orders, or verify those balances with a financial provider. DZD equivalents are estimates using a third-party USDT reference and a 1:1 USD/USDT assumption. Quotes can be delayed or unavailable, and actual fees and conversion rates, including PayPal cash-out rates, can differ.
DigiBytes is a bookkeeping aid, not an exchange service, a source of guaranteed prices, or financial, tax, or accounting advice. Check important figures against your own records.
5. Appropriate use
Do not use the app or website to access accounts without authorization, distribute malicious material, misrepresent ownership of data, or breach applicable laws or service-provider rules. Keep credentials and session cookies out of product descriptions, notes, exports, and support messages.
6. Availability and changes
The app is provided as available. Software errors, device failures, network outages, or third-party changes may interrupt features or affect records. No promise is made of uninterrupted service, complete accuracy, or fitness for a particular business process. These terms do not remove rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
Features and these terms may be updated. The current terms and their update date will remain available on this page.
7. Contact
DigiBytes is maintained by its independent developer. For questions about the app, these terms, or support, email chaos.aca@gmail.com.
